Inside of Church

Serving York, Lancaster, & Mecklenburg Counties

About the Service
As God’s people, we gather together to worship and praise our Lord God. This is our duty and devotion to the one who has made, redeemed and sanctified all creation. We gathered in the name of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God. Through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus we are drawn into relationship with God and we are empowered to serve.

At St. Paul’s we worship twice on Sunday morning – at 8:00 and 10:30. In both services, we hear the word of God proclaimed and preached and we celebrate the Holy Eucharist or Holy Communion. Before his crucifixion Jesus taught us that if we share bread and wine together, in his name, they will be the outward and visible signs of his presence with us. Through the sharing of these elements, our lives are renewed, strengthened and empowered.

We invite all people to come and share in our worship. In both services we praise God’s glorious name, we seek God’s guidance, we pray for God’s intercession in our lives and we request God’s empowerment to carry on his ministry in the world. The first service at 8:00 uses traditional language (Rite I) and is without music. The second service at 10:30 uses contemporary language (Rite II) and has organ music and a choir.

A nursery is offered during the 10:30 service for any children who do not wish to participate. However all children are welcome at both services. In the pews you will find work sheets and crayons for the children if they get bored with the sermon.

Please join us as we worship God together. We have a promise that as we do, God himself will be among us.
